This used to be one of my favorite donut shops growing up. However, the place recently changed owners and it has gone downhill extremely fast. They no longer let you pick out what specific donuts you get in a dozen -- they will choose the donuts for you and there are no substitutions. The regulars that I would come with every Saturday morning for coffee and fellowship have taken our business elsewhere. We will not be back.

If I could give it no stars I would. I went in to pick up donut holes for my son because we just left children's hospital after having a procedure done he was so excited for his donuts. I got 60 donut holes 20 powder 20 cinnamon sugar and 20 chocolate. When I got home I noticed that they were rock hard. I called them to say they were hard and the guy who answered said first that they were hard because of being coated. Then I said no the middle is hard then he told me to microwave them because it is cold out. I will never buy donuts from their again. Now I have 60 hard donuts and an unhappy 2 year old. I would have figured they were fresh since I was there at 6 am.

Better than Krispie Kremes. Huge selection. Open 24 hours. If you're a night owl, come at around 4AM. It's when they put the fresh batch of donuts out! Very reasonably priced as far as donuts go. I suggest the chocolate long johns, sour cream or coconut. The Apple Fritters are huge and so tasty. Only reason I'm not rating this a five is because it isn't the most attractive place. It is pretty run down and has never undergone any upgrades. Sometimes the staff is in the back. It takes them awhile to notice you are there. However, they are never really busy so once you get someone's attention, there are no lines to wait in unlike Krispie Kreme which can be a twenty minute wait sometimes.

Stopped to buy donuts this morning. Because we have an extra boy visiting us today, I decided to go with the special priced 15 instead of a dozen. Strangely, the counter clerk didn't want me to get 3 of any particular kind....wanted to limit me to 2....because I was getting such a "good deal". His reasoning made absolutely no sense to me. He seemed to think that if I got this deal, he should make the choices, but by letting me make my own choice, he was being extremely generous. I thought maybe he was afraid of running out of a particular type of donut, but he assured me that they had plenty in the back. Is it just me, or does it seem that some newcomers to this country just don't get how we do business here in the USA? If you are going to make special stipulations, you should make that clear on the menu....and we have an wonderful saying: "The customer is always right". Bottom line....Honeydip donuts are better than DD or Krispy Kreme....but I will stick with the store on Greenfield because they have better service.

Apparently, the staff doesn't expect any business at 5:10 on a Sunday morning. (Understandably) I stopped in to pick up a box for my coworkers and I to share, and had to wait a few minutes before the man running the place came out of the unlit back area, ear buds still in place, phone call still in progress. (He only came out because another man that had been playing the machines in the seating area went back and rooted him out.) Once I had his attention, he was friendly enough, and got what I wanted with only an apology. There's a pretty good selection of doughnuts, and the prices are decent. I'll probably be back, but if this happens again, I'll be less shy and get the attendant's attention myself.

I went there the other day and got an apple fritter, it didn't have apples or any apple flavoring whatsoever it just had cinnamon rolled into the dough, I've had better donuts from Hostess!

Unfortunately this place has changed owners and has lost the charm it once had. This is apparent by the lack of regulars that would pack this place on the weekend mornings. The straw that's broken my back came when I ordered three doughnuts to take home and two of them were not what I asked for. I think the reason for this might be because the employees were arguing with a women that wanted to get the dozen doughnut special but was told she was limited in her selection if she wanted the special. They said she could however get whatever she wanted at 75 cents a piece. On my last visit I told the employee of his mistake in my previous order and he said no he doesn't make mistakes. I'm sorry to say that after going here for nearly twenty years and previously giving a 5 star review I will not be back.
